The Utamu Tree is a location in the Pride Lands.

The utamu tree sits on the edge of a rocky cliff and the Utamu grubs live inside the tree. It appears to be dead with twisted branches. Bunga goes to this tree to catch the sweet grubs called Utamu. He wants to offer them as a present to his two uncles, Timon and Pumbaa.

The Search for Utamu[]
Bunga falls
When Bunga returns to the tree with Kion, Beshte and Ono, he climbs it once again to obtain some utamu (with Beshte supporting the trunk and Ono holding the branch). Unfortunately, the tree finally snaps, rendering Bunga unable to get the grubs. Despite being saved by Beshte, disappointment hits the honey badger hard until he later discovers that the grubs had landed by Timon and Pumbaa below.
