|“||See, my Ma's cousin's friend knows an ox, who told him he ran into the Zimwi!||”|
Prior to The Lion Guard
Timon's Ma lived with a group of meerkats long ago. One day, she had a son; Timon to an unnamed male meerkat. One day, when her son was a young adult, he decided to walk away from the meerkat colony and went in search of a place where they don't have to dig tunnels and escape from predators from the colony after almost getting his fellow meerkats killed in a hyena attack because of his day dreaming. Timon then bid his mother farewell as he went to find a home of his own. Years after learning of Timon's whereabouts, courtesy of Rafiki she ventured to find him. Eventually, she reunited with her son and fought alongside him in the battle of Pride Rock helping defeat the hyenas. As a result of the battle, her adoptive grandson Simba, (whom Timon had adopted after leaving) became the King of the Pride Lands and Timon and his companion Pumbaa were allowed to live there ever since, whilst his mother and the others remained at the jungle. Sometime after this, Timon's Ma becomes the adoptive grandmother of Timon and Pumbaa's adoptive nephew Bunga and the great grandmother of Simba's children, Kiara and Kion.
Timon's Ma is mentioned by her son, Timon. When asked by Kion how he knows about the Zimwi, Timon explains that his Ma's cousin's friend knows an ox, who told him that he ran into the Zimwi and got eaten by it. When Kion questions him on how the ox could tell the tale if he was eaten, Timon tells Kion that he'd need to ask the ox.
