Like all of the episodes I just watched, I'll rewatch them again in English when they're released.

I enjoyed this one, it was great seeing everyone working together. The song was pretty catchy, if a bit short. It was also nice to finally see Kifaru confirmed as being a member of Mbeya's crash at long last!

    • This was so fun, I loved seeing everyone work together. I don't know what was said at the end, but I think Makuu's lip movements said 'thank you' to the other animals, which was cute. Surprised that Hodari wasn't anywhere in this ep, was he retconned?

    • Now that I’ve finally seen the episode in English, and can understand what in the Pride Lands was going on, I can do a decent review.

      Pros

      • Ma Tembo!
      • Mwenzi!
      • Kifaru!
      • Mbeya!

I’m glad Kifaru has been confirmed as a member of Mbeya’s Crash.

      • I really liked his and Mbeya’s interactions.

I really liked the song, and the look Ma Tembo and Kion exchanged at the end of it.

      • Ma Tembo instantly agreeing to help was really sweet.

I loved seeing all the animals working together.

I’m glad Boboka’s name was finally mentioned.

Laini was adorable in this episode.

      Cons

I wish new named characters had been introduced.

    • I loved this episode it was fun and the battle sence was the best part. I really thought that Kion was singing the song it sounded like him when we saw it in another language. The song was a little short.  Jasiri should have been in this episode to help train the Pride Landers. All though they might panic because she's a hyena. I can't wait for the three more upcoming episodes.

    • Very good episode. Satisfying, but not as marvelous as The Hyena Resistance. Please don't get me wrong.

      What I liked the most:

      -Laini.

      -Laini.

      -And more Laini!

-There's no doubt she's in love with Kion. Did you notice the tone in her voice when she said: "Yes sir, we are!" She sounded like if she was pleased with what he said to her. And the way Laini looked at Kion between the grass? Anyway, I loved all of their interactions. Kion x Laini forever.

-The final battle (of the episode). When Kion and the Pride Landers lunged into action. I couldn't help but shout: WAKANDA FOREVER! Uh, no. PRIDE LANDS FOREVER!

-I'm starting to find Bupu cute. Is it normal?

      And what I didn't like:

-Makuu's attitude. I mean, look at the evil grin he has in all episodes, altough he already reformed. I know that perhaps that is his face, but it feels like he can turn evil again at any point. Seriously, I can't trust this croc.

-No Dogo and Kijana. What in the Pridelands, or in the Outlands, happened to them? Did they grow up? Or did they got killed? By who? Zira? Simba? No. This Simba is not capable of doing that. He would have to be TLK 2 Simba. I'm sure that savage overprotective monster would be capable of killing someone.

Score: 10. That's right. We've begun with the right foot. Now let's patiently wait for the next episodes to come out, as long as they don't end unsatisfyingly or with a cliffhanger. That's all the things I liked and disliked I can recall right now. If I remember some others, I'll edit this comment and add them. See you next time!

My guess is that they don't want them in the war because little kids (even though the guard are technically children). It does seem weird that we don't see them now.

      Fave part: UNTRUNK ME!

I liked the ending a lot, seeing Makuu FINALLY 100% COMPLETELY reformed. I thought he was meant to be before, guess not. But what happened to Hodari?

      I agree.

    • I loved this episode. It’s been a constant complaint of mine that the larger animals need the Lion Guard to save them all the time. I also was thinking about what if the Lion Guard had an Auxiliary Team ever since Rise of Scar.

So let’s look at the Auxiliary Lion Guard: Elephants, Rhinos, Antelopes, Galagos....... Huh?

Ok, Elephants and Rhinos make a lot of sense. Antelopes, kind of pushing it. But the Galagos? They’re kind of a bunch of cowards and animals that really wouldn’t do well in a fight. I know they proved to be good distractions against the jackals, but I wouldn’t be so confident in other fights where they could be easily snatched up. Plus, there are other animals that might be of some use. Particularly flyers so Outlanders can be spotted easier. I just think that there are better choices than Galagos to battle Outlanders. The only reason I see them on the team is because they don’t want it to be all large and strong animals.

That being said, I did find myself enjoying the interactions in this episode, espically with Makuu. And of course seeing him again is always a treat. Plus, like mentioned above, it’s good to know that he still has some work to do before he’s 100% a good guy.

As for the battle, I enjoyed it, but there were some problems. 1: The elephants needed saving from the jackals. I know it’s part of the whole teamwork message, but I’m pretty sure the elephants could easily trample over them and end the battle in 10 seconds, 11 tops. 2: Have the outlanders learned nothing from the last time Kion roared at them all? You’d think they would know better then to all regroup in a spot where Kion can easily roar at them. 3: Again, I know it’s for the message, but I’m pretty sure I remember the Guard being able to handle that many Outlanders before in the Hyena Resistance. Granted Jasiri and clan did help, but still. I think it would have been better if the Axuilairy Guard at first stayed behind under Kion’s orders before coming in when the Guard and crocs where in a pickle.

Despite my critisms, I still really enjoyed this episode and might even say it is my favorite of the season so far.

You reminded me of one more complaint about this episode, perhaps the series in general - kids show or not, that thing gets overused. We saw Shujaa scare them away once, why not have the animals charge them like Beshte does in the opening for a change?
