Sand Cats are felines that appear in The Lion Guard universe. They live in the Pride Lands.

Appearance[]

Sand cat’s fur are yellowish-brown to dull grey, with vague lines on its limbs and several black rings near the black tip of its tail. A dark, reddish streak runs from the corner of the eye down the cheek. The patterns on the sand cat's fur vary between the six subspecies.

Information[]

Sand cats are live desert in North Africa. They hunt mice, gerbils, jerboas, young hares, lizards, sand vipers and insects.  They live in burrows and use either abandoned fox and porcupine.

Sand cats appear as cave paintings in the final chamber of the secret caves.

Trivia[]

  • The only member of the cat family that lives almost exclusively in sandy desert habitats. 
  • Digs burrows for shelter from daytime heat; is mainly active at night or during twilight hours. 
  • Keen senses detect rodents and other small prey, which are thinly distributed in the desert.
