- This song has similarities to the "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" musical sequence in The Lion King and the "Love Will Find A Way" musical sequence in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.
- When Kion pulls Rani into the water, it resembles Simba pulling Nala into the lake.
- Similarly, the scene where Kion and Rani share a long nuzzle clearly is identical to the nuzzle Simba and Nala share, minus the long lick Nala gives Simba, likely because that might be too romantic for a Disney Junior show.
- Rani sings that what she loves about Kion is that he has the energy and drive to take command. With that statement, it's likely that the moment Rani fell in love with Kion was when she witnessed him leading the Lion Guard and Night Pride against Makucha's Army in The Lake of Reflection.
