History[]

Prior to The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar[]

Back before Simba became king of the Pride Lands he lived in the Jungle. Rafiki, Nala and Mufasa help Simba realize who he is and he goes back to take his place as king.

Return of the Roar[]

After Kion laments about being leader of the Lion Guard, Mufasa appears in the sky. Kion is shocked and tells him that he learned all about Mufasa. Mufasa tells Kion that he's been watching him and that he's about to embark on a great journey. Kion's unsure if he's ready to lead the Lion Guard. Mufasa tells Kion that the Roar of the Elders will be there when he needs it.
