The Mekundu Bats are a group of bats that live in a dead hollow tree right by the Mekundu Cliffs.
Appearance[]
The Mekundu Bats are brown bats with a diamond-shaped white marking on their heads and white fur on their chests. They have large ears with pink inner ears. Their eyes are brown, and the underside of their wings is a lighter shade of brown than that of their bodies.

The Mekundu Bats flee
Ono mentions the Mekundu Bats to the Lion Guard, saying that they are in trouble. When asked why he didn't assist them himself, Ono notes with a shudder that he would have, but "They're bats." Kion leads the Guard to Mekundu Cliffs, where they discover that the bats are asleep inside of their tree, which is falling apart. When attempts to awaken them by yelling fails, Bunga climbs inside of the tree and wakes them up suddenly, causing them to fly out in a panic, right past Ono.
