–Masikio, Ono and the Egg

Masikio is a male hare who resides in the Pride Lands.

Appearance

Masikio has primarily brown fur, with a white underbelly. He has a tuft of black fur atop his head, and black ear tips. He has a dark brown collar and head fur, a white muzzle, a black nose and very dark purple eyes. His chin is light brown, and his eyes are rimmed with beige. His tail is black on top and white on the edges. His legs are dark brown, with brown paw pads.

Personality

Although not seen for very long, Masikio appears to be rather anxious and can easily get frightened. When faced with danger, Masikio can be hesitant to move, even if one way will offer him safety.

He is very grateful for help, however, and trusts the Lion Guard to assist him when he needs it.

History

Ono and the Egg

When a rainstorm hits the Pride Lands, Masikio and his drove find themselves in the pathway of a hawk named Mpishi. She frightens them into the Aardvark Dens, until the Lion Guard arrive, scaring her off.

Soon, a mudslide on a nearby hill starts to fall, but Masikio is too frightened to come out of the aardvark den and reach safety. Bunga approaches Masikio and a couple of other hares who refuse to leave, prompting him to break wind in the cave, which forces them out.

Ono-and-the-egg (259) — "Where's my sister?"

When they arrive back with the rest of the Lion Guard, Masikio notices that his sister is missing. They spot her in an aardvark den just about to be covered by the mud. Kion races away to save her, while the rest of the Guard stay with the hares. After a while, Kion resurfaces after the mud covers him, holding Masikio's sister in his teeth.

The two are reunited, and Masikio cuddles his sister.

Beshte and the Beast

While trying to help fight off the Army of Scar, a gorilla named Shujaa causes damage to the surrounding Pride Lands. After causing a small mudslide, Masikio and some of his drove wind up trapped in it.

A short while later, Bunga assists them by reaching into the mud and plucking them out. Masikio thanks the honey badger before hopping away.

The Queen's Visit

Masikio watches as Queen Dhahabu and her herd come into the Pride Lands and go up to Pride Rock.

Although not mentioned by name or present in the credits of his debut episode, Masikio's name was first revealed in the official transcript of Beshte and the Beast.
