Kulu is a female hippopotamus mentioned in The Lion Guard. She is a friend of Beshte.

History

Eye of the Beholder

Beshte enters the Lair of the Lion Guard announcing that he has important news to share. Kion then asks Beshte what the news is. After almost forgetting in his excitement, Beshte explains that while he was at the Watering Hole, Kulu told him that her cousin overheard a buffalo talking about what his sister had seen - which was that Janja's Clan had entered the Pride Lands.

Trivia

Kulu's name may be short for kulukulu, which means 'Fischer’s turaco'.
