Kion Assembles the Lion Guard is where Kion picks his team to protect the Pride Lands.

Prior to The Lion Guard[]

Many years ago Askari was the first leader of the Lion Guard. Kion's great Uncle Scar was also leader of the Lion Guard. Scar had the roar but he lost the roar by using it for evil.

The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar[]

When Kion first tells Simba about his team Simba doesn't agree with him. Kion goes to doubt himself then suddenly he speaks to his Grandfather Mufasa. After speaking with Mufasa Kion knows that he is ready to lead the guard. Bunga then comes up to Kion warning him about the Hyenas.

Sometime after Janja's Clan is attacking Gazelles, Kion gets ready to assemble his team

TLG-Return-of-the-Roar (1378) — Kion places the Mark of the Guard on Fuli

the Lion Guard. Fuli and Beshte aren't sure they're on bored yet because of what Simba said. However, Kion doesn't care that they're not all Lions. Everyone is ready to accept and Kion gives them the Mark of the Guard. Kion and his new team are able to stop Janja's Clan and Kion's Family is shocked. After saving Kiara, Kion tells Janja's Clan to leave the Pride Lands. He uses the Roar of the Elders and blasts them away. Everyone is so proud of Kion and Rafiki tells Simba that it's time and he agrees.
