Jiona is a male leopard who lived in the Back Lands. He is a member of Makucha's Leap, making his debut in The Harmattan.

Appearance[]

Jiona’s pelt is cream, and his rosettes are brown outlined with black. His eyes are green. Inside his ears is a light pink color rimmed with soft brown. His snout is considerably longer than other leopards in the show.

Personality[]

Like his fellow leopards, Makucha and Fahari, Jiona is arrogant and unfriendly. He is willing to fight for his territory which seems likely to be his leader territory that he is defending possibly for better hunting with Makucha, but backs down in the face of a challenge.

History[]

The Harmattan[]

Jiona and Fahari join Makucha in a battle against the Lion Guard. But before they can engage properly, a harmattan races past, obscuring their vision.

Triumph of the Roar[]

Smun brings Jiona and Fahari as recruits for Makucha's Army. He scares off many animals at the Tree of Life with his partner. One of Kion's tiny twisters make Mama Binturong's porcupines land on him. After that Lion using his roar to create the biggest twisters to carry him away and send him far away and never attack the Tree of Life again for good.

Trivia[]

Jiona's voice actor also voices a gazelle that is part of Swala's Herd, Sable Antelope 1 of Bupu's Herd, Tumbili, and Johari.
