During her visit to the Pride Lands, Dry Lighting hits the ground and causes a fire. The Lion Guard stops the fire while Fuli saves the queen. After seeing how fast the Guard works Dhahabu gets an idea of having her own guards. She asks Fuli, Tiifu and Zuri to be her guards. After seeing them fight Reirei's Pack Dhahabu claims for the girls to be her full time guards . However, the girls don't wanna leave the Pride Lands. So Kion comes up with an idea for Raha and Starehe to be her Guards. Dhahabu plays in the Watering Hole and Kiburi's Float comes up and tries to attack her. Suddenly, Raha and Starehe come and defeats the crocodiles. Dhahabu is impressed and says that Raha and Starehe will be her new guards.
Starehe is a member of Dhahabu's Herd. She is a hyperactive, happy-go-lucky zebra who is always excited to meet new animals. She is the sister to Raha. She's also Dhahabu's Guard.
Raha is a member of Dhahabu's Herd. He is an energetic, carefree soul who enjoys meeting new faces. He is the brother to Starehe. He is also Dhahabu's Guard.
