Daylilies are a type of flower seen in The Lion Guard.

Information[]

Daylilies are shown as medium sized flowers which have four yellow petals and a stem emerging from the center, which holds five orange seeds at the tip.

They are used for making paints.

History[]

The Ukumbusho Tradition[]

When Makini runs out of yellow paint to use on the elephants for the Ukumbusho, she goes in search of more paint supplies. After discovering some daylilies, she moves the bees surrounding them away, taking the flowers back with her.

However, the paint made from the daylilies attracts the same bees, who hound the elephants wearing it until it is completely removed.
