When Bunga believes he is going to die from Ushari's venom, Rafiki's lack of interest in helping him leads to the conclusion that he's going to die. He grabs a white lily and lies on his back with the flower placed upright, certain that the end is near. Rafiki, however, leans in to tell him that he's immune to the snake poison anyway. Bunga snaps the flower in half, believing it to be a fate worse than death, until he discovers the meaning of the word.
