I love Kion and Rani but I really couldn't help myself with this. They married at like what...14-YEAR-OLD!
Yeah sorry 😅
I love Kion and Rani but I really couldn't help myself with this. They married at like what...14-YEAR-OLD!
Yeah sorry 😅
I love Fuli cause I swear I have never related to an animated character like I do with her and I love Rani just...because! But apparently I have seen that there are quite a bit of FulixRani shippers out their. My first thought was, "What in the name of Mufasa is this?!!". But what do you guys think? So if you ship FuilxRani put a yellow heart in the comment section. And here's a picture of them together.
Ok,I have to admit the way she is looking at her is kinda cute.
I love this shipping sooooooooo much(Rani is my favorite side character if it is not clear). I Swear I've never shipped two talking, singing, dancing, magical animated teenage animals like I do with these two. But that doesn't mean I didn't ship Kion with someone else before Rani. I actually said that nothing can bet KionxFuli...until Rani and the night pride was introduced. So who did you guys ship Kion with before Rani?
Me and my squad, ready to fight the school bully.
Is nobody gonna talk about how many times TLG broke the forth wall?!
This is from Beware of the Zimwa. Why is he looking at us like that?!
What da...
Why is surak looking at us through the screen? It's legat scary!
Kion what did I do to you to make you look at me like that?
Do you guys have anymore forth wall breaks for this show.
The way he is looking at kion made me burst out in laughter.
I know what your thinking, it's a pretty dark theory that is clearly not true but let's think about it.
In season3 of TLG(my favorite season),the guard are traveling to the tree of life to get Kion healed from the mark of evil and so Ono can get his sight back. When they do get there kionxrani happens and the show ends with them becaming king and queen of the tree of life. But what if you like at it this way.
In battle for the pridelands the lion guard does defeat scar but gets killed in the process. Their journey to the tree of life was actually their journey through the after life trying to make it to heaven. Anga and Makini are actually meant to be thier guides kinda like angels while Muchucu and his gang is the devil trying to claim there souls. The stones with the painting (I forgot what they are called) are different steps to reach heaven. Kion's scar is a reminder of their life on earth. Rani and the night pride are the souls that are already dead and that guards the tree of life or heaven in this case. Kion and Rani fall in love with each another in and became the king and queen of the afterlife.
Dark theory for a kids show put is pretty interesting when you think about it. What do you guys think.
If the lion guard some how got a hold of a phone(don't know how but they do) and played among us,who would suck at it the most? Random idea but it's fun when you think about it.
I think this song fits Kion and Rani's first meeting so well. Mal being Kion,Uma being Rani, and Fuil as Evi. Who agrees with me?
Meet Kulinda (Kion and no I didn't steal her name from TLG.)
Name: Kulinda meaning guard
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Abilities: The only character with magic and has lion DNA .
Inspiration: Kion and Rani
Designing this character was very fun and I think the shading is alright.
Kulinda is basically humanized gender bend Kion. Do you very any ideas and headcanons for her.
I don't have a younger sister or brother so I don't know how it feels.
Pinguino: Beshte is Poa the destroyer!
Kion and Rani and the rest of the guard(sans Beshte)
Hey, TLG Fans!
Since I have commented on the "Inaccuracies of the Lion Guard" a few weeks ago and what it got wrong about animals in the circle of life. I thought I would make sequel (if you want to call it that).
For every animal fact The Lion Guard creators had either got wrong or misrepresented, there's a few aspects they got right. If you think of any I have missed please comment it.
Fuli the Introvert
So, right off the bat, in the episode Fuli's New Family, the rest of the Lion Guard believe that Fuli spends too much time on her own and think they haven't been good friends to her. Not realising, however, that she enjoys being alone a lot of time and will hang out with them, on her terms.
At the beginning of the episode, Fuli mentions that girl cheetahs hunt alone. This is actually true to life. In real life, mother cheetahs stay with their cubs for about 18months and then after that, female cheetah cubs go off on their own to live independently.
Female cheetahs are solitary animals and do almost everything on their own. They have almost no interaction with other cheetahs, except for mothers raising their cubs and also interacting with male cheetahs for breeding. Otherwise, they spend most of their living and hunting alone.
Symbiotic relationships
For those of you who don't know, symbiotic relationships are when two organisms live in close proximity and have a mutual relationship. For example, in The Lion Guard, some of the animals of the Pride Lands have a mutual friendship with another relationship, but it's not actually a friendship between them.
In The Rise of Makuu, the hippos are shown to have a symbiotic relationship with the fish in Big Springs. The fish, as we are told, clean the dirt and bacteria off the hippos' bodies, and in return, get to eat. In "Ono the Tickbird", in spite of my personal dislike of this episode (for reasons), they do show that tickbirds and rhinos have a mutual relationship. Tickbirds eat the ticks that often appear on the backs of rhinos. It keeps the rhinos from getting infected and the tickbirds get something to eat at the same time.
Rhinos
In that same episode, Kifaru says that he has poor vision, like all rhinos in the show and in real life. Rhinos can't see very well over long distances and they rely scent trails to navigate their surroundings.
Kifaru is clearly a white rhinoceros, while Mbeya is a black rhinoceros. So, the creators decided to show they were different by making Kifaru white, and Mbeya a dark grey colour.
Also, Kifaru correctly has a noticeable hump on his back and distinctive large lip, that white rhinos are known to have in real life. In contrast, Mbeya, like all black rhinos, has a pointed upper lip and no comparable hump on his back.
Here is a White Rhino with a noticeable hump on his back.
Zebra Stripes
In "Rescue in the Outlands", in the middle of the Dry Season, the Lion Guard and the Pride Lands' animals end up being swarmed by tsetse flies, except for the zebras. Ono explains that tsetse flies don't like zebra stripes, but, he doesn't understand the reason why.
In real life, scientists have actually concluded that zebra stripes actually have the ability to repel flies to keep from biting the zebras. Many people believe that zebras evolved their stripes for this exact purpose.
In "The Zebra Mastermind", after Goi-goi left the scene, Thurston notes that his stripes only make him camouflaged when he with his herd. However, scientists recently started to have doubts about whether zebra stripes confuse predators. It was believed that zebra stripes give off the illusion that there's only one animal, but, now, recent studies have doubt upon this theory.
Elephants
In the episode, "Can't Wait To Be Queen", Simba and Nala go to an elephant funeral in Kilio Valley. During the scene, the elephants are shown paying tribute to Aminifu and covering his body with leaves and branches.
Truth in television, when a member of their herd dies, elephants will ceremoniously collect twigs and leaves to bury their dead and, crowd around the fallen elephant to pay tribute.
In the original movie, young Simba and Nala visit the Elephant Graveyard. In real life, an elderly or sickly elephant who is aware they are at death's door, will go to a designated spot to die in peace. The other elephants will visit that spot to pay tribute to their loved ones.
In "The Savannah Summit", Mtoto, an elephant calf, is using infrasound to listen to voices at a very low frequency. In real life, as pointed out in the episode, elephants have the ability to hear using infrasound, and it makes them hear sounds of extremely low frequency, which is one of their methods of communication as well.
In "The Ukumbusho Tradition", Ma Tembo and her herd are afraid of bees and go on a rampage because of it. Just like in real life, the elephants run at the very sound of the bees. It is true that elephants are afraid of bees because the latter can sting sensitive parts of their body, like their trunks, as Ma Tembo had pointed out at the end.
In "The Kilio Valley Fire", when the elephants (briefly) move in with the giraffes, they are shown tearing off branches from the trees and then stripping them of all their leaves. As is pointed out by Zito, this is one of the ways elephants eat in real life.
Beshte and the Hippo Lanes
The center-point for this episode is that Beshte and Basi need to make the hippo lanes so the animals of the Pride Lands can cross the floodplains to access food and water. And in real life, hippos are known as ecological engineers, and when they plough through submerged wetland areas helps water and nutrients to travel around so that other animals can have access to it as well.
Beshte Getting Sunburn
Beshte, like all hippos in real life, does not do well in the hot sun without any mud or water around to cool him. In "Swept Away", he spends most of the episode trying to get out of the sun. This is because hippos are highly sensitive to sun and their skin can quickly burn in the blazing sun of the African Savannah.
The plot of the episode is all about the Lion Guard trying to get Beshte and bring him back to the Pride Lands before he can burn to death. Scar says that, just like real life, hippos become weak and tired if they get too hot.
And at the end of the episode, low and behold, Beshte, jumps into a mud puddle to cool off in. In real life, various animals that just have skin on them and no hair, like hippos, pigs, rhinos, etc., avoid sunburn using mud or water.
In "Journey of Memories", Beshte gets sunburn again from walking in the desert for too long. In real life, hippos spend most of their time either wallowing in water or mud to regulate their body temperature and prevent them from getting sunburn. Mud is like "sunscreen" for hippos.
Leopards
I know, I spoke last time about how much the creators got wrong about leopards in real life. But, I will admit that they have a few facts correct.
First of all, in "The Trouble with Galagos", we meet Badili and Mapigano, two rival male leopards. The center-point of this episode is that Mapigano is challenging Badili for his turf and Badili must take it back. In real life, even though leopards are reclusive, just like cheetahs, male leopards will fight for dominance over territories.
Badili is also shown scratching at the bark of his tree. In real life, this is one of the many methods leopards have of marking their territory to ward off rival leopards, in addition to leaving their scent.
Mackucha, at least in the earlier episodes, is portrayed like a normal leopard because he is reclusive. In "The Imaginary Okapi" and "The Wisdom of Kongwe", he is a lone hunter, like real leopards. In "The Golden Zebra, at least at first, he is shown to be highly territorial towards the Lion Guard.
In "The Wisdom of Kongwe", he is shown climbing a tree at one point. As a leopard, he is an excellent climber. Of all big cats, leopards are the most arboreal, which means they have long tails that allow them to balance on narrow branches.
As for snow leopards, they are equally solitary and like to live and hunt independently, just like Chuluun, in "Ghost of the Mountain". They use their bright white coat to hide in the snowy mountains to stalk their prey, just like Chuluun. Their coats make them almost invisible, just like in the show. And one of the many things that they hunt are Red Pandas.
Pangolins sprays when threatened
In "The Lost Gorillas", when Hafifu and Majinuni are squeezing the pangolins in the Pride Lands, the pangolins are spraying noxious gas. As noted by Ono, pangolins only spray when they're threatened, which is true, as irl they spray scent glands as a defense mechanism, similar to skunks.
Gorillas
Speaking of gorillas, Hafifu, Majinuni and their father, King Sokwe, are portrayed as being friendly animals. In real life, despite the fact they look intimidating, gorillas are gentle giants, according to zoologists. They will only become aggressive when threatened.
In "Beshte and the Beast", we meet Shujaa, an adult male gorilla, who is also shown to be super friendly, but, then very aggressive towards members of Scar's Army. In that episode, Ono correctly points that adult gorillas can lift about 10 times their body weight, which couldn't be more true.
Crocodiles
The show correctly uses the term "Float" to refer to a group of crocodiles.
Just like in the show, crocodiles are social reptiles who live and travel in groups led by a dominant male. If a member of the float tries to challenge, trouble ensues, like when Kiburi challenged Makuu's leadership in the episode, "Let Sleeping Crocs Lie".
At the start of the Dry Season, Makuu's float (initially) choosing to go into hibernation stems from the fact that crocodiles spend the hottest and driest months of the years, when there's less water around, burrowing underground.
Nile crocodiles are highly aggressive, just like Makuu and Kiburi, and will attack or even kill other crocodiles. In "The Little Guy", Kiburi trying to kill Makuu is a reference to how Nile crocodiles will attack each other during territorial disputes.
The Portrayal of Aardwolves
In The Lion Guard and in real life, aardwolves are small, hyena-like creatures. Just like Simba said, the are very shy and keep to themselves. They are nocturnal in real life as well as in the show.
Remember how Reirei and Goi-goi were threatening to eat them, well, it turns out jackals are predators of aardwolves in real life, and will eat their cubs. Aardwolves are even smaller then jackals, ranging from 16 to 20 inches in height, and 15 to 22lbs in weight. And they're not good at fighting.
Just like the Pride Lands' aardwolves, aardwolves are entirely insectivores and primarily feast on termites with their long, sticky tongues. Aardwolves tend to roam around and live in abandoned dens that used to belong to other animals, just like in the Pride Lands, they occupy empty aardvark dens.
In the show the Lion Guard kicked the aardwolves out accidentally because they mistook for the more fearsome hyenas. Notice how the aardwolves are completely unaware that they look a lot like hyenas. Ironic, because, aardwolves are actually relatives of spotted hyenas. They are one of the four subspecies of the Hyaenidae family.
Varya and her cubs
Like in real life, Varya and her cubs are among the biggest cats around. Varya, like real tigresses, is a fearsome fighter as she tries to fight two leopards, a binturong and a komodo dragon at the same time. She also, like in real life, is highly protective of her cubs. Like most cats, female tigers work hard to keep their cubs safe from danger.
Also in "Long Live the Queen", Varya is shown going to the Tree of Life, with just herself and her cubs around. She appears to be raising them on her own, like real tigresses. In real life, tigers are solitary. Male tigers are only needed to reproduce, but, then the females do all the raising of the cubs.
Also, Varya and her cubs are Siberian Tigers and Rani takes them to a snowy part of the Tree of Life, where Siberian tigers would be adapted to living.
Varya's cubs explore their surroundings at the Tree of Life and she has to look for them at one point. In real life, at a few months, tiger cubs will explore their surroundings.
Bunga being immune to things
In Can't Wait to be Queen, Bunga is the only member of the Lion Guard, who's immune to bee stings. In real life, honey badgers can raid beehives without being stung and often raid them to eat the larvae.
In Fuli's New Family, Bunga is shown to be immune to snake like honey badgers in real life (even though a honey badger his age would certainly not be immune, but I'm going to let it slide). He's also shown to be unaffected by porcupine quills, when it would hurt other animals. But, because honey badgers have really thick skin and fur, they are resistant to porcupine quills, as was noted by Kion.
In The Bite of Kenge, while everyone else on the Guard is paralysed by Kenge's venom, Bunga learns that he's immune to monitor lizard venom and is able to go after Kenge. In Dragon Island, as a teenager (which is a more accurate age), Bunga is fully aware he's immune to venom from a komodo dragon, like all honey badgers.
As you all know, Bunga hates Ushari more than anyone else on the Guard, this is because in real life, honey badgers will regularly fight off snakes and even sometimes, kill and eat them. This explains why they've evolved to become resistant to snake venom. So, therefore, Ushari hates Bunga more than anything, but, knows that Bunga is immune to toxins.
Also, Bunga is shown to be able to eat a variety of foods without getting sick. This is because, as a honey badger, he does not have a set diet and would gladly whatever is lying around, including, insects, grubs, roots, vegetation, carrion, berries, rotten fruits and more.
Also, honey badgers are known for their absolute fearlessness about everything, just like Bunga.
Animal Terminology
This series correctly uses the right terminology to refer to groups of animals in the circle of life, for example a "pride of lions", to refer to Simba's Pride. "Janja's clan" or "Jasiri's clan" to refer to a group of hyenas, "a pack of jackals" to refer to Reirei and her family, a "hippo pod" to refer to Basi's pod, "Makuu's float" refers to a float of crocodiles", "a committee" refers to Mzingo's vultures and many more.
Not Hawk Territory
In Ono and the Egg, the Lion Guard need to get a harrier hawk out of the Pride Lands because she shouldn't even be there in the first place.
As Kion correctly notes in this episode, the Pride Lands isn't hawk territory, so therefore, she can't hunt there. The Pride Lands is implied to take place somewhere in Southern African, whereas, harrier hawks tend to live most commonly in North America, mostly found widespread across Alaska and Canada. But, they can be found across Central and South America, but, not the African content.
Conclusion
So, these are the animal facts I'm doing at the moment. I'll come back to this if I actually of anymore. Please let me know animal facts that you were aware of that the show's creators had got right.
And also, if anyone knows whether or not Ono being the (former) Keenest of Sight is accurate, please let me know. Because in some sources I found, it said that egrets had very keen vision, but in other sources, it said they have weak vision compared to other birds.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed reading this.
Thank you.
Hey everybody. I have a question for you all. What was Rani's reason for existing? I heard she was made solely as a love interest to Kion and give him a same species relationship because the creators didn't want to ship him with Fuli, Jasiri, Vitani, Tiifu or Zuri because interspecies romances make Disney cringe. And yes, I know Ford Riley said Kion and Fuli's relationship is like that of a brother and sister. I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Here's my headcanons. Of all the ones I can think of.
Kion - Police Officer. I kind get the vibe that that would be his dream job. His whole job is about enforcing the law.
Bunga - Firefighter/Stuntman. One or the other, probably his dream job to pursue.
Fuli - Professional athlete, most likely cross country runner or champion baseball player. She's a true athlete.
Ono - Zoologist/Wildlife Biologist and/or journalist. Due to his animal know-how and interest on the subject.
Anga - Newscaster? Idk, because she sees everything, I guess?
Makini - Art teacher at a university, because she seems to be fascinated by the paintings of the past.
Simba - Probably the CEO of a very respectable company worldwide. Also, US President.
Nala - Probably the Co-director of Simba's company. Also, first lady of the US.
Zazu - Probably a Board Member for the Company/Family Butler.
Timon & Pumbaa - Owners of some hang out place, like a bowling alley, a restaurant (the Chuck-E Cheese kind of one), a smoothie place, etc.
Rafiki - High School counsellor and/or pyschologist.
Nirmala - High School Nurse. Pretty self-explanatory since she is a healer.
Kiara - Social media star, business woman (not really what it would be).
Kovu - Part-time security guard. Businessman alongside Kiara.
Vitani - Martial arts instructor, seems the most like her because she's fierce.
Tiifu - Social media star, owner of beauty pageant and cosmetics store. She's always trying to help Kiara look her best.
Zuri - Social media star, fashion journalist, model. I think she'd do something related to fashion when she grows up.
Scar - King of the Mafia World. For obvious reasons.
Mufasa - When he was alive. Probably businessman just like Simba who Scar hates.
Jasiri - Also martial arts instructor, and I get major tattoo artist vibes from her.
Rani - A police officer, just like Kion. They both always try to keep things in order.
Dhahabu - Actress, social media star, model, owner of a cosmetics story. Basically she reminds me of the Kardashian Family.
And these are the characters I decided to do. Let me what you think and your owner personal headcanons, whether you agree or disagree.
